The Communion of Saints


In November's meeting I discussed the Communion of Saints. Since November 2nd is the feast day of All Saints Day.  Here is my outline of what was discussed:



Communion of Saints
1.    What comes to mind when we say the communion of saints?
2.    What is the meaning of the communion of saints?
a.     Great Cloud of Witnesses
b.    Holy men and women whose journey in this world was sanctified.

3.    Confusion of terms:
a.     praying
b.    worshiping
c.     honoring
4.    Necromancy? Are we talking to the dead?
a.     Mediums, psychics, New Age teachings
b.    Charism of Discernment of Spirits
c.     Charism of Prophecy
5.    Do you know the biographies of the saints?
a.     Patron Saints: A patron is considered to be a defender of a specific group of people or of a nation. There is a patron for virtually every cause, profession or special interest.
6.    Who is your favorite saint?
